Urban Chic Buyers’ Favorite Spring Lines

Happy middle of the week ladies! Half way through the week deserves a treat from Urban Chic buyer, Megan Hood. This week we are featuring her favorite lines for spring 2013 that she saw at Coterie. We love hearing her perspective on what lines to look out for!

Rebecca Minkoff

The clothing started with soft colors (soft grey, soft pink, soft white) and Megan ordered Becky blazers (featured on the blog last week) in all three of these colors.  For all of the Becky lovers, there is an unlined Becky! It is thinner and a pretty printed silk. Additionally, there is a tropical open weave Becky that is almost like an eyelet material for spring. Get excited! Another thing to look out for is Becky blazers will now be sized numerically instead of XS-L, they are 2-12! More size options is great! LEATHER, once again. Rebecca Minkoff had amazing leather tops and jackets in soft white. Gorgeous!

This dress showcases the 3 color trends from Rebecca Minkoff:

The bags were the opposite of clothing and started off with bold primary colors: jungle green and purple.  Spring progresses to softer colors: petal pink, mint and periwinkle, and then ends in in poppy pink, true navy and bright white. Megan’s favorite new item by RM is the Diamond Quilt Mini Affair! It retails for $195, and it will be the new Mini MAC for the Urban Chic customer.  Megan ordered it in just about every color possible for spring 2013 (black, cream, petal pink, mint, white, you name it.) Her favorite color for spring was petal pink. Also, all you new iphone 5’ers…. she stocked up on plenty of RM iphone 5 cases.

Bec & Bridge:

Megan made special note of how much she loves this Australian designer…SO on trend for spring: cut out dresses, peplum tops, cut out backs and bandage dresses. Retails well under $200. Chic at a great price, we love it!

Line & Dot:

This line has great pieces for such an affordable price, Megan said. She particularly loved the sea mint biker jacket for $136 and a coral peplum silk top for $97.  She also let us know that she has some asymmetrical hemline dresses on order! (Get in our store!!)

Megan loved this white faux leather dress for $156!

We hope you are getting as excited for spring as we are….and a BIG thanks to Megan for sharing with us!
