Jean-ius Picks from Urban Chic Managers!

Any Chic Girl knows that the perfect pair of jeans is a wardrobe staple—and that makes finding them the ultimate style challenge. These days there are so many different cuts out there, a confused shopper can’t even know where to begin.  Skinny?  Bootcut? Straight-Leg? What’s a jegging? And don’t even get me started on the endless varieties of washes. It’s enough to make a girl want to forgo denim altogether (don’t do it!). Thankfully, the amazing salesgirls at Urban Chic are experts in the art of finding “the one.” So this week, the gorgeous managers at Urban Chic Baltimore and Annapolis pick their faves and model them for you. Trust them; they know what they are talking about!

Ashley, the Manager of Urban Chic in Baltimore, may be petite but she has tons of personality—and style. She loves Citizens of Humanity’s Dita Petite Bootcut jeans because they have a great fit and are incredibly comfortable to boot. As if that wasn’t enough, this style is available in a variety of washes which obviously means that you’re going to need multiple pairs.  And, if you love the Dita but the hem is hitting at your mid-shin (not a look we at UC endorse), COH’s Kelly Bootcut is the same style as the Dita—but with a longer inseam!

Ashley is wearing: Citizens of Humanity, Dita Petite Bootcut, $158; Cynthia Steffe, Fleur Tank in Papaya, $175; Rebecca Taylor, Back Ruffle Cardi in Soft Heather Gray, $245; Urban Expressions, The Bethesda Bag in Black, $77; AV Max, Flower Broder Cab Ring in Gold Jet, $40; Judy, Bangles in Gold, $13.

It’s no secret here at Urban Chic that Paige Premium Denim has a cult following. Jamie, Urban Chic Baltimore’s Assistant Manager, is looking fab in Paige’s Hidden Hills, a style with a slightly higher rise—a key feature if you don’t like flashing your underwear to the world every time you bend over. And, according to Jamie, “I love this particular wash because I think you can easily dress it up or down”—something that any Chic Girl can appreciate.

Jamie is wearing: Paige, Hidden Hills Skinny Jeans in Cottonwood Creek wash, $180; Joie, Ramsey Top in Silver Fox, $178; La Mer, Simple Wrap Watch in Gold Sparkle, $96; Judy, Scarf in Purple, $12.

In a recent post, I proclaimed that my Citizen of Humanity Avedon Slicks in Star are an item of clothing I couldn’t live without. And, I’m not alone, as Urban Chic Baltimore’s Keyholder Christine shares my love of the Slicks. Are they jeans? Are they leggings? A daring but genius hybrid of the two? Whatever they are, they are AMAZING and Christine totally agrees: “I love that they are a jean I can take from day to night. They are perfect with my favorite boots or flats!”

Christine is wearing: Citizens of Humanity, Avendon Slick Skinnies in Star, $163; Katrina Grimaldi, Jesse Top in Triangle, $205.

Lovely Priscilla, the UC Annapolis Manager, is enamored of the Ascot Trouser from Habitual, a line that is new to Urban Chic. If Priscilla looks tall and model-esque in the photo below…well, that’s because she is. But the jeans help too! For those of us not so lucky (myself included), these jeans will give us the leg-elongating power we’ve always wanted. Priscilla recommends pairing the trousers with a flowy blouse and wedges for the perfect spring bohemian ensemble.

Priscilla is wearing: Habitual, Ascot Trouser, $209; 81 Poppi, Jackie Top, $176.

UC Annapolis Assistant Manager Lindsay loves the Citizen of Humanity Amber Bootcut Jeans in Passion for their flattering dark wash and leg-lengthening abilities, but she ESPECIALLY loves the medium rise, which, as she puts it, “sucks you in.”  And who among us couldn’t use that? (And if there is anyone out there who doesn’t need a little sucking power, just know that we all hate you!)

Lindsay is wearing: Citizens of Humanity, Amber Jeans in Passion, $178.

In case you haven’t figured it out yet, we LOVE comfortable jeans here at Urban Chic—it is my own personal goal to discover a pair of jeans with the comfort equivalent of wearing a pair of pajama pants without actually wearing pajama pants. These Audrey Leggings by Habitual, beloved by UC Annapolis Keyholder Kelly, are so unbelievably soft that my search might be over. Plus, says Kelly, “their uniform wash makes them great for everyday wear, and they also have a shorter inseam which allows them to be paired perfectly with flats and sandals.”  What more could a Chic Girl ask for?

Kelly is wearing: Habitual, Audrey Legging in Heydey, $187; Rebecca Taylor, Surplus Crew in Dusty Rose, $295.

So there you have it, Chic Girls. Good luck finding your own perfect pair, and remember—we’re always here to help.  Have an amazing weekend everyone!
